I am a big fan of “beyond burger”, a product available in the U.S. that makes veggie based burger and sausage.  Apparently a Dutch Company will start distributing veggie based meat in Spain.  Yay!  Makes avoiding meat and all of the downsides from environmental to hormones much easier.

These vegetarian ‘chicken’ pieces are a real a bbq classic!

Veggie burger anyone?

If you’re a vegetarian who secretly craves the taste of meat and longs for your former carnivorous (well, omnivorous) days, your saviours may well be at hand! Dutch company Unilever are bringing their veggie ‘meat’ to supermarkets across Spain. Their range of products includes vegan ‘chicken’ pieces, vegan nuggets, vegetarian meatballs and vegan minced ‘meat’ and should be available in the coming month in Bon Preu, Esclat and La Sirena supermarkets. There are La Sirena shops in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Palamós. Palafrugell, La Bisbal and Torroella de Montgrí. Esclat and Bonpreu are effectively the same brand and have multiple shops all over the region.
